Arts shows : A brilliant exhibition of talent and skill

Art is a form of expression of human mind. It can be in the form of paintings, sculptures, drawings, music, visual and interactive art etc. All sort of art comes in contact with the public in the form of art shows. Also called exhibitions, these shows give a chance to normal people to come, see and enjoy the brilliant work of artists. In turn artists are appreciated and praised.
There are many types of art shows. A juried art show has a panel of judges or may be an individual who sees the work with great detail and decides upon the best piece. Often some prize is awarded to the chosen person. Examples of such shows are Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London and the Iowa Biennial. Some exhibitions invite the artists to display their collection and work as in Whitney Biennial. An open exhibition is the one in which anybody is allowed to show their work.
Many museums keep separate halls for special exhibitions. They are well maintained and have good security conditions. Non commercial exhibitions often display pieces set aside by the museum as well as the pieces which are borrowed from outside (mostly other museums). They are just following a theme or an event and are put to an end. Commercial art shows are the ones in which art is displayed for the prime purpose of selling and generating income or revenue. Often to visit such exhibitions, visitors need to pays more than the usual entry amount.
The commodity at display is often rare and of high value, so good security is a prime objective when planning an exhibition. Security cameras are often installed to keep an eye on every movement. Art pieces are protected using good covers and frames.
We often see good art on media but viewing it live is quite a treat!
